Tending the Fruits of Labor
Happy Thursday friends! I’m so glad you’re here! 🙂 Last week’s post was a bit rushed and short, but I plan to take my time with this entry. So… buckle up, I’ve got a long winded spill coming your way. I’ve had a pretty exciting week so far. Today marks one whole week since I went live with the online ArtShop I had been building. Much to my delight, I’ve had a number of items sell, and even had a specific collection of work, sell out completely! We’ll save that for later. Around the 2nd week of September, I began to work out the concept of my site, still being…

Opening Day!
Hi there! and welcome back! I’ve fought a bit today with whether or not I would make a post this week (I’ve been so overwhelmingly busy!) but I figured, one that is short and to the point would be a better option rather than skipping another week. Over the past few weeks I have been finishing up work on a commission I had taken, and while I waited for epoxy to cure, I cooked up a number of artistic experiments. I made these new projects with the intent to sell them online in my new ArtShop that I’ve been designing on my website. I’ve been working tirelessly for the past…

Franken Art
Hi friends! Happy Blog Day! It’s crazy how long a week can feel, and it’s definitely felt much longer than 7 days, especially in this case. Much to my surprise I still managed to have viewers on my week off, and I genuinely appreciate the visits and views while I was away. It absolutely made coming back a lot more enticing! Quite honestly, I missed unloading thoughts and I am happy to be back! For some more honesty, my week off was on account of a number of things, but if we get to the heart of it, I had started to run out of good topic ideas. I had…

“Nowhere” Feels Like Home
It’s blog day!! I’m extra excited to write this week, my subject changed a bit last minute, but I think the change was imperative. I’ll save the original topic for next week. So here we go! As a young girl I developed most of my identity out in the pastures of a cattle ranch in northern New Mexico, my father helped my grandparents work to maintain and make a living for our family. From age 4 until almost 7, I followed in the shadows and footsteps of these 2 men, watching and learning as they worked tirelessly, day in and day out. When I had time alone, I explored the…

Commitment Issues
Happy Blog Day!!! Thank you for stopping by! This week, I’ll focus more on what actually brought me to start this blog. In short, I desired to build structure, consistency, and hold myself publicly accountable along the way. Thus far these practices in their early stages, are grooming a much healthier routine and head-space, which are really proving to be key ingredients to centering my world. It seems to be pretty common, that as a creator, I too struggle a lot with mental and emotional imbalances. As it has been the case most of my life, I feel it has made me into who I am today. A 31 year…

Creative COVID Coaster
Hello There! And thanks for returning! I figure this week, we’ll just go ahead and fly right into the eye of the storm, and chat about COVID. I understand how this topic can be a touchy one, but don’t worry, I’m no expert so we’re not going into any depths of that sort. My goal is mostly to talk about what the quarantine has meant for me and my progression as a creative. I wasn’t sure if it’d be wise to speak on the subject, but I know it’s the obvious elephant, in every single room, everywhere you go, and it’s wearing a mask… haha. *wink wink* Ultimately I think…

Reconnecting With an Old Friend…
Hi there! Thank you so much for returning to read my rambles! You must know how much I appreciate your time and interest. I hope over time you’ll notice an improvement in my writing, because I’m hoping to notice a difference as well! Writing isn’t something I spend any time on these days, but it didn’t used to be that way. I decided this week, I would reflect on how I used to use this medium as a daily therapy. Looking back, I could have never imagined that I would go this long without it. After all these years, it’s time to remember the love I once had for orchestrating…
